Chilli Con Carne – Syn Free – Kaycee Cooks

Here’s another recipe from Kaycee’s old recipe blog, Kaycee Cooks. It’s a Slimming World syn free Chilli Con Carne.
Ella’s not keen on anything with spice in so before adding the cumin, paprika, cayenne and chilli powder etc, we take out her portion so she’s basically got a bolognese sauce with her rice!

Ingredients

1 tsp each of paprika, cayenne pepper and chilli powder
2 tsp each of cumin, mixed herbs and garlic granules
500g minced beef
Tinned chopped tomatoes 2 x 400g tins
Baked beans 2 x 400g tins
2 tbsp tomato puree
300g mushrooms
2 onions
3 peppers (or 150g frozen chopped peppers)
Low-calorie cooking spray
Salt and pepper

Dice your onions and cook until soft
Add meat and cook until brown then add all spices, mushrooms, peppers and salt and pepper.

Chilli Con Carne

Add the 2 tins of beans and 2 tins of tomatoes and 2 tbsp of tomato puree
then simmer for 20-30 minutes

Serve with rice which has been cooked to packet instructions.
