Too Many Apples! – My Sunday Photo
We’ve lived here for nearly 5 years. When we were looking for a new home, this was the first one we looked at and I fell in love with the apple tree in the middle of the lawn.
It’s always given us quite a few apples, but this year it seems to have gone crazy! We have hundreds of apples. So many apples that we’re struggling to find something to do with them!
What To Do With So Many Apples?!
We’ve given bags of them away. I chopped and cooked some and KayCee made some delicious crumbles and every time one of the kids say they’re hungry, I tell them to get an apple!
This morning Ant and I spent an hour or so sorting the good from the bad and he wrapped the good ones in newspaper and stored them in a big box.
I’m going to spend the afternoon peeling and chopping the not so good ones so we can freeze them and use them throughout the autumn.
[…] Many plants and trees are dormant in Winter so it’s a great time to deadhead and prune them. Pruning encourages growth and pruning fruit trees means you’ll be rewarded with better quality fruits. […]
I wish we are neighbors! They look so lovely. #mysundayphoto
Oh wow! That is a lot of apples….All I can think of now is Apple pie and Apple crumble x
They look so juicy, we eat so many apples in this house.
Have a good Sunday and thank you for linking up to #MySundayPhoto
