Frikadeller (Scandinavian meatballs) with rich gravy

Frikadeller are delicious Scandinavian meatballs in a gorgeously rich gravy. We usually have plain meatballs in a tomato sauce with some pasta but we served these with some vegetable rice.
I can’t wait to have them with some creamy mash and green beans.

Ant uses his KitchenAid to mix the meatballs and since he’s been making them this way, the texture has been lovely. Don’t worry, though, you can mix them by hand if you don’t have a mixer.

It’s not a low-fat or diet friendly dish so I won’t be having it too often!
