Monthly bucket list February

I loved the idea of this linky when I saw it over on Twinderelmo’s and knew I had to join in so here’s my monthly bucket list February 🙂

Monthly Bucket List – February

1) Take the girls out for a nice walk somewhere during half term
Aiden will be at his dad’s and the girls usually go as well but now they’re getting older they’re wanting to spend more time at home.
We went out at the weekend but the weather turned awful just as we got to our destination and we ended up coming home straight away.

*EDIT We didn’t manage this so we’ll try again in March!

2) Completely blitz our bedroom.
It’s a mess and it’s doing my head in. I need to clear out under the bed and sort it all out. I don’t even know what’s under there, only that it’s packed with stuff that I’m sure doesn’t need to be there!

*EDIT Feb 6th – I did it! Our room is lovely and tidy now and under the bed is completely empty!*

3) Get the girls cooking more often.
They love to cook and they used to help out regularly in the kitchen but just lately I’ve been telling them that ‘I just want to get on and get it done’ when they ask if they can help and I’m not going to do that anymore 🙂

*EDIT Ella’s been a cooking a bit more and Kaycee’s made some lovely cakes 🙂

4) Make a lovely dinner for the husband on Valentine’s Day
We’re not buying each other presents this year as we’re planning a week away at the end of April for our 10th wedding anniversary so we’re saving our money for that but I do like to celebrate Valentine’s day so a nice dinner together with no kids (they’re going on the Harry Potter Studio Tour with their sister and her boyfriend) will be lovely!

*EDIT We ended up having a takeaway with the kids because we forgot they were home that weekend! It was still lovely 🙂

5) Finish my book.
I’ve just started reading 50 Shades of Grey (yes, I know I’m very late to the party!) and I want to finish it before the end of the month because the last book I read took nearly two months. I set myself a challenge to read 100 books for my Day Zero Project and if I don’t speed up, I’m never going to make it!

*EDIT I didn’t finish it, in fact, I got bored of it halfway through and started a different book!

6) Start thinking about our family holiday for this year. We didn’t have one last year because we moved to this house and had to spend all our spare money to get it how we wanted it.
Hopefully, we’ll be able to get away somewhere nice in the October half term and I’ll be checking out Tots Too to see if anything takes our fancy 🙂

*EDIT The kids want to go Butlins again but the adults aren’t too keen so we need to find somewhere we’ll all enjoy.

Love the idea of a monthly bucket list

This is a nice idea. I don't think I've managed to read an entire book since my first child was born so two months to finish one is very good going!

Blitzing my bedroom is on my MUST DO list this month, it's also doing my head in.
    Fab list

Love your list! We love walking and being outside in the fresh air. Also having major clear-outs! Got to be done! Oh I long to sit and read a book again! Maybe I'll make that my to do in March! xxx

Great idea – I need to have a total house sort out as we will be moving this year, and my teen is off to uni in September so making sure she can cook a variety of cheap meals is on my agenda!

What a brilliant idea! This a great way to make time to capture precious moments in the midst of a hectic busy life. Love it and I would probably add most of your items on to my bucket list too! Feeling very inspired now.

Great list! Love your goals. I haven't even read 50 shades yet (hangs head in shame). xx

This is a great idea – it might even help me to get motivated to do some of the things I keep talking about doing and never get around to!

That's a good idea to have a monthly bucket list. My lists are always endless though so I don't think that would work for me!

Great list – we are doing similar here as it's too easy to let the year slip by and achieve little.

My bedroom desperately needs blitzing too! Half term isn't far off at all now is it? Hope you manage to have a nice walk somewhere & hey weather warms up a bit!
Enjoy Valentines – my hub would be gutted if I cooked as I'm so bad!!
Thanks so much for linking up – look forward to seeing you at the end of this month to see how you got on! xx

I can relate to three of them – sort out bedroom, cook nice dinner for Valentines Day and finish book that I started ages ago 😉

This is a fab idea, I would love to start a bucket list as I love ticking things off! Some great things for this month – blitzing the bedroom is something we need to do too! Enjoy the Valentine meal xxx

Plenty of time to join in Louise – it's open until the end of the week! x

I really need to make a list of things to do this year! I think I need to read a little more but I'm not sure if I could manage 100 books this year ! 🙂

    1. shelllouise 3rd February 2015 at 2:55 pm

My day zero project is 101 things in 1001 days so I've got till sometime in 2017 to read the 100 books. It's still quite a challenge though!

I understand the issues in the kitchen and I am like that sometimes too. I resolve to give my kids a little more time this month

I need to make more lists and then tick things off but sometimes I find it a bit daunting and feel bogged down. Good luck with yours! 🙂

This is a lovely idea. I love the 50 shades books – trashy reading at it's very best!

Don't be shy, come and talk to me! :o)
