Macro Monday

Well after getting excited about finding the Macro Monday linky, I failed to join in every week so today, I went outside to take a photo and I ended up taking about 10 because I just couldn’t stop!

I figure I’m making up for all the missed weeks!
I’m loving the spring garden and finding new things growing every time I go outside. It’s really exciting to see things coming back to life and makes me feel like I’m not as a rubbish a gardener as I thought I was 🙂
Oriental lilies – These were gorgeous last year and I’m so pleased to see them coming through again 🙂

First daffs – about time!

Lavender plants – I really hope these get the chance to grow big and strong. I’ve not had any luck growing them from seed but these bare root plants I ordered seem to be doing ok. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

My favourite shade loving plant has to be Bleeding Heart. I just love them and can’t wait to be able to split them in the autumn so I can double the amount and have them all over the garden 🙂

I have no idea what this is and hadn’t even noticed it growing. I’m assuming it’s a weed because I haven’t planted it but it’s lovely and I’m leaving it!

I didn’t plant this either and there’s only one of them but it reminds me of my childhood and I’m planning on planting some more 🙂

Bleeding hearts are one of my favorites as well.
Your unknown purple plant is a wild violet. They are everywhere in my yard at the moment.
    Lovely shots of emerging spring!

It's great finding out what the plants are and I thank you for your help 🙂 I hope our wild violet spreads along the fence bottom, it'll look lovely 🙂
