The Final Detail By Harlan Coben – Book Review #32

The Final Detail is the 6th book in the Myron Bolitar series by Harlan Coben. I’m slowly working my way through the entire series!

The Final Detail

Here’s the blurb from Goodreads:

Myron Bolitar’s colleague at MB SportsReps, Esperanza, has been arrested for the murder of a client, a fallen baseball star attempting a comeback. Myron is determined to prove Esperanza’s innocence—even if she won’t speak to him on the advice of her lawyer, who warns Myron to keep away from both the case and his client. But Myron is already too close, too involved, and has too much at stake. And the closer Myron gets to the truth, the more the evidence points to the only viable suspect besides Esperanza: Myron himself.

My Thoughts

It took me a while to get through this book. It just didn’t hold my attention as well as the others. I’ve got another 5 books in the series to read and I’ve already started the next one but when it’s done, I’m definitely going to take a break from them and read something completely different. I want to keep enjoying the series and they do say a change is as good as a rest!

I certainly couldn’t read that many in a row. I like to swap between genres 3readwithme

The blurb sounds interesting, but I think you can read too much of a series and start to get tired of them! This happened with me and the Ian Rankin Rebus books and I never read more than two together. I always make sure I break up a series with other books – and even other genres. Hope you enjoy the next book more than this one.

Change is definitely good, maybe you need to try a different genre? #readwithme
