The Gallery – Me right now #thegallery

I get an email each time Tara posts to her blog and at the time this week’s Gallery theme post dropped into my inbox, I was watching tv (think it was the local news) and flicking between Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, all the while, trying very hard to ignore the basket of laundry that needed putting away and the basket of laundry that needed ironing.
I managed quite well…the ironing still needs doing :S but I did eventually put the laundry away!

Check out all the other entries into this week’s Gallery. I can’t wait to see them all because I’m very nosey!

  1. That looks like my sort of evening! I love all your framed photos too 🙂

    1. Thank you 🙂

  2. I think this picture links all of us together in a very clever way – fab!

    1. It does seem that everyone can relate to it 🙂 Makes me feel better and a little less guilty lol

Thank you for stopping by 🙂 xx

  3. You have captured this really well. I love the glow from the screen but yet you can still see the room really well.

    1. I have to be honest and tell you that I did lighten it a little with Picasa. The original was very dark and this afternoon I decided I had to make it a bit clearer.
I'm using a new phone that doesn't have a flash and I'm still trying to work out how to take good pictures inside!

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate your comment 🙂 xx

  4. hehe quite often i can while away a fair amoutn of time that should be spent putting washing away with such internet surfing too 🙂 x

    1. Pinterest is the worst for me. I always lose track of time when I'm on there!

Thanks for stopping by 🙂 xx

  5. Lol great picture..I avoid the laundry too – well the ironing part, then I end up standing for 2hrs when it reaches th epoint of not being able to ignore it any more…lol

    1. Yeah that's probably going to be me tomorrow! Thank goodness for TiVo….I have lots recorded, waiting to be watched 🙂

      Thanks for your comment xx

  6. You have my life. I took a pic of my son this am (it's his birthday) and behind his head was a radiator with a massive pile of socks and knickers on them. Nice. – family stories past and present

    1. I'm always forgetting to move things like that when I'm taking photos for the blog!

I've just visited your blog for the first time. I love your, 'Life's a journey' feature and if I get chance tomorrow I'll do a post about my best friend and come and link up 🙂

      Thanks for dropping by xx

  7. Twitter and Facebook have a lot to answer for. My house would be clean without them.

    1. I'm sure if I stopped using them both I'd easily find something else to replace them and the housework would still come second! 🙂

Oh dear, I'm sure it must sound like my house is in a right state! It's really not that bad, honest!

Thanks for your comment 🙂 xx

  8. I love the multi-tasking! I'm exactly the same never ever just sit and watch tv, always using the laptop, iPad or iPhone too and feeling guilty about the housework that needs doing… 🙂

    1. Yep, same here. Hubby's says I can't say I watch tv because I don't, I listen to it while being on the laptop!
And yes, the guilt is always there, like now because I haven't filled the dishwasher yet. The girls and I spent a lot longer playing top trumps than we usually do and I'm behind schedule now!

      Thanks for stopping by xx

  9. That looks and sounds really familiar to me too! In fact I should be ironing now …

    1. As well as ironing, I should be getting the rest of the laundry done but that'll only make more ironing….it's a vicious cirlce!

Thanks for your comment 🙂 xx

  10. Ha! That all looks very familiar 🙂

    1. I had to move the ironing basket to the cupboard under the stairs…i couldn't take it staring at me any longer lol

      Thanks for stopping by xx

  11. That looks like my sort of evening! I love all your framed photos too 🙂

    1. Thanks 🙂 They used to be scattered all round the walls but I thought it would be nice to make a feature out of them.

      Thanks for your comment xx

  12. I have a pile of ironing like that.

    1. My dream is to send my ironing away for someone else to do it every week and I WILL make that dream come true lol 🙂

      Thanks for dropping by xx

  13. It's amazing how long you can put the ironing off by checking those sites and then checking them again and again and again. I do it all the time.

    1. The only job I really don't like doing is the ironing…which is why it's still not done and now it's even bigger :S
      Really must tackle it tomorrow!

I appreciate your comment, thank you xx

  14. I love this because it shows just the sort of evening I have!

    1. It was a nice evening I must admit. Kids were away, hubby was away helping his mum so I had the house to myself 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by xx

  15. Multi-tasking is best when doing things we like as opposed as things we should, isn't it? ;o)

    1. Yep, would definitely have to agree with that! 🙂

      Thanks for your comment xx

Don't be shy, come and talk to me! :o)
