My Bucket List

I’ve never really thought about a bucket list before but it sounds like a great idea so I’m going to link up with the lovely Ellen 🙂

Here’s my bucket list:

  • Drive around Europe with Ant and the kids
  • Take a road trip across America with Ant and the kids
  • Publish a novel
  • Have said novel made into a movie!
  • Own a DSLR camera and learn how to take fabulous photos
  • Watch my children go off to university and cry as they graduate!
  • Buy our dream house in a wood with a little stream running through the garden
  • Get to a healthy weight and stay there so I can go out without feeling embarrassed and being stared at.
  • See our new garden in full bloom. I really can’t wait!
  • Visit local historical buildings – We’ve lived here for a few years and never properly visited the magnificent cathedral or castle. Hadn’t really wanted to until I read Pillars of the earth and now I’d like to see them.
  • Stay in a cottage in a remote part of Ireland for a week with my wonderful hubby.
  • Learn to crochet – I’ve never been able to do it. I loved knitting when I was younger but despite watching mum for hours and trying countless times, I could never crochet and I don’t know why! I’m sure it can’t be as hard as I think it is so I need to try again.
  • Go across the Humber bridge without having a panic attack and crying – I DID IT!!! April 2022 🙂
  • Have a wonderful full-body massage
  • Throw a new years eve party – We used to go to one of my Aunt’s houses for new years eve when I was younger and I miss being with my family on New Year. It’s too far to travel to be with them on new years eve now and Ant and I have spent it together, just us, for the past few years. The first one we spent together was very special, but I miss having friends and family around and would rather party than fall asleep before we get to hear Big Ben!
  • Spend Christmas in a log cabin somewhere where it’s guaranteed to snow on Christmas day 🙂
  • Visit Vermont again – It’s beautiful. I think I could live there very happily when the kids are grown up and living their own lives.
  • Go on a cheesy, commercialised ghost hunt in a spooky hotel for a weekend.
  • Learn sign language
  • Family holiday to Disney World
  • Have the courage to attend a blog camp/blog awards ceremony and meet some of the lovely ladies who write such wonderful blogs.
  • See the nutcracker ballet again – I saw this when I was about 17 and went on a Christmas shopping trip and ballet show organised through college. I really enjoyed it then and would love to experience it again.

Wow, I started out thinking that it was going to be a short list….how wrong was I?!
I could probably think of more if I wasn’t so tired but I’m off to bed.

The bridge thing….since I was younger, I've had a fear of bridges. Ant's helped me conquer that fear for the most part, I can go over small ones without all the drama now but I've never been able to face going over the Humber Bridge.
I will one day, I'm determined to but I know it's going to be very hard for me because even now, my stomach is clenching at the thought of it.

As for the ghost hunt, I'd love for you to come, the more the merrier 🙂

Thanks for your comment and the linky, I enjoyed taking part 🙂 xx

    Brilliant list.
    What's with the Humber Bridge?
And the ghost hunt is a brilliant idea – I'd love to do that. Can I come with you?
