Project 365 – Photo a day 7th January

Project 365 – photo a day

Well, I didn’t get off to the greatest of starts with my attempt at a photo a day this year, otherwise known as Project 365. I took a photo on the 1st January then totally forgot on the 2nd!

So I decided to start my year of 365 on the 3rd January instead :oD

Wish me luck for the next 7 days. I’m not holding out much hope that I’ll remember to take a photo every day but I’ll give it a go!

Project 365 – Week 5

Project 365

May 16th – This is my new favourite dessert….sweet omelette with fruit, yogurt and squirty cream 🙂

May 17th – Ella’s new bear

Teddy bear

May 18th – Ant’s been working hard on the waterfall, pond and stream this week. The stream is now running and I love it 🙂

Stream water feature

May 19th – The pond went all green and horrible the other day because the waterfall had to be switched off while Ant worked on it. He emptied it and refilled it then added some plants. Hopefully, we won’t have to empty it again!

Garden pond

May 20th – 2 for today because I couldn’t decide between the photos I took of Kaycee and Ella!

May 21st – Nanny had a robin’s nest in the garden and now she regularly gets visits to the bird table from the babies 🙂

Baby robins

May 22nd – I’ve had this book on my Amazon wishlist for ages. It’s been in the charity shop loads of times but I decided I didn’t need any more books so I didn’t buy it. I then saw a friend on Facebook saying she was reading it for the second time and described it as brilliant so I bought it for a pound and now I can’t wait to get started on it!

Project 365 – Week 4

May 9th – Week 4 already! This is what we made from the rhubarb we picked in the garden the other day. It was ok but it seemed very bitter compared to last year’s crop. I wondered whether it was because last year’s was forced by placing a bucket over it (done by the previous owner, I had no idea what was under there!).

Rhubarb pie - week 4 of project 365

May 10th – I’m going for another loss this week after my 3lb loss at Slimming World last week so I’m on lots of speed veg in the chili and speed fruits like melon 🙂

Chilli, melon and yogurt

May 11th – These little blighters are ruining my lilies.

Lily beetle

May 12th – Ella loves snails!

Snails on Ella's hand

May 13th – Kaycee has her first Panini sticker album. I watched as she put her stickers in and totally remembered the frustration of not getting the sticker exactly right!

Cinderella sticker

May 14th – Ella wanted a different hairstyle today (excuse the mess, we’re in the process of doing a big sort out and move round).

Ella's hairstyle

May 15th – Another different hairstyle for Ella. Today she wanted a fishtail braid 🙂

Project 365 – Week 3

May 2nd – The start of week 3 of my project 365 and Ella wanted to stay home this week while Aiden and Kaycee went to Aiden’s dad’s for the weekend. We had a nice time together 🙂

May 6th – My Nan-Nan made a surprise visit on Monday and brought with her an absolutely delicious banana cake. You can’t see much of it here but the combination of vanilla ice cream and banana cake was gorgeous!
It was lovely to see her as I don’t get to see her often. She’s going to be coming again in the summer for a BBQ 🙂
Also, it’s my brother’s and best friend’s birthday – happy birthday bro and bestie! xx

May 7th – I’ve started the #make30photos prompts again from Emma Davies and this is number 1 – fill the frame with colour

All photos for week 2 are from my Instagram account 🙂

Saturday 25th April – A birthday lunch at Damon’s for my step daughter’s birthday. I love Damon’s bbq ribs and really enjoyed the afternoon.

Sunday 26th April – Ant and I went on holiday to Hay on Wye, just the two of us, to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful week and I have lots of posts to do!

Ty Bychan

Monday 27th April – Hay on Wye is known as the second hand book capital of the World, which is the reason we wanted to go and it didn’t disappoint. We spent the week browsing book shops and doing lots more reading than we’d normally have time to do while at home.

Hot drink, a good book and some sweets

Tuesday 28th April – We took a break from book shopping and visited Westonbury Mill water garden which was featured on Channel 4’s Shed of the Year last year.
It’s gorgeous and I’d love to live there!

Wednesday 29th April – We spent the morning walking by the river Wye before going home for lunch. It was a lovely walk and we decided we wanted to go further so we ventured out again in the afternoon, even though it looked like rain. A few minutes after leaving the cottage, it hailed! It only lasted a few minutes so we carried on and ended up with gorgeous weather all afternoon. I really enjoyed being out all day walking with Ant and enjoying the marvellous scenery 🙂

Thursday 30th April – Our 10th wedding anniversary and Ant bought me this gorgeous little fairy sitting on some books. I adore fairies and books so this was the absolute perfect present for me :oD

Friday 1st May – Time to go home after one of the best weeks I’ve spent alone with my super wonderful husband in a long time :0)

Project 365 – Week 1 Again!

Week 1 again! I missed a few days. Well, quite a lot of days actually but I decided not to give up, I’m just going to start again and make last Saturday my day 1 again 🙂

April 18th – We started work on my new wildlife pond 🙂

Ant digging out the pond

April 19th – More digging!

more of the pond has been dug out

April 20th – It’s been gorgeous weather today. Ella came home from school and changed into her swimsuit. Any excuse for her to wear a swimsuit is a good one! We planted some seeds in this big planter. Fingers crossed we get a lovely display of whatever flowers it was that we planted. We totally forgot to label it!

Ella helping in the garden

April 21st – We have liner and water :oD

pond liner and water - week 1 again!

April 22nd – Flamingo Gifts sent me gorgeous things 🙂

April 23rd – We had a few minor problems with the water level but hopefully it’s ok now

April 24th – My wonderful boy is 15 today. I made him a vanilla sponge with lemon curd and lemon frosting. It was delicious, even if I do say so myself!
I can’t believe he’s 15 already. I did take a photo but I’m not posting it because he’s at the age where he doesn’t want his mum posting photos of him!
Happy birthday Aiden, we love you xxx

banana split
April 3rd – We went to Surprise View to wish Grandad Jack a happy birthday. Nanny treated us to lunch at the Wetherby Whaler (formally Harry Ramsden’s) and it certainly is a treat! The fish and chips were lovely and you can see how good the banana split was!
Ella had been excited to go all week. She wanted a prawn salad and a brandy snap dream dessert. I can’t believe she ate all but half a spoonful of the dessert!

March 21 – I think the tv was a distraction from the book!

March 21st - Daddy and Ella

March 22nd – Kaycee’s been inspired by the great British sewing bee and made this apron by herself, without a pattern! She still has to hem it and has asked me to show her how to use the sewing machine sometime over the Easter holidays 🙂
