Stephen King’s IT Remake – Sunday Photo

Stephen King’s IT Remake

I was really excited to see the remake of Stephen King’s IT. Whilst I wasn’t disappointed, it wasn’t as good as the original.

Stephen King's IT remake

IT was the first Stephen King movie I’d seen and I knew straight away that I had to read the book after watching it. I was only about 15 when I watched the original. It was on at a friend’s house and I don’t know if my dad would have let me watch it if he had known!

I was hooked on SK for years after that so I have a bit of a soft spot for IT. My SK collection must be reaching about 50 of his books by now. I tried to get them all in hardback but I haven’t managed it yet. When I’m volunteering in the charity shop I always keep my eye out for any hardback SK novels that come in!
I hadn’t read any for ages until recently when I read Revival as part of my Goodreads 2017 reading challenge.

Kinema In The Woods

We went to the Kinema In The Woods at Woodhall Spa to see the new movie. It’s my favourite ever cinema and while it’s open we’ll never go to one of the big cinemas. It’s so quaint and lovely! The ticket prices are great and the food and drink prices are excellent.

We took Aiden with us. He’s 17 now and it was great being able to share this with him. He’s not much of a reader but he said he’s going to read this book and I can’t wait to see if he enjoys it as much as I did when I first read it.

Stephen King's IT

I can’t wait for IT Chapter 2 to be released. Aiden’s looking forward to seeing it as well. He said he looked on the internet, though, and it’s not going to be released until 2019. Going to see the remake has made me want to watch the original again and read the book again. It’s been over 20 years since I last read IT. It’ll be interesting to see how I feel about it now I’m older!
