Mother’s Day at Rufford Abbey

We took a picnic to Rufford Abbey on Sunday for Mother’s Day but we had to eat it in the car because it was so cold. The girls didn’t bother about the cold at all, they loved the play areas and the large open spaces with hills to roll down and mud to get covered in!
They got red cheeks and cold fingers but hot chocolate with lashings of squirty cream soon warmed them up 🙂

I’m sure we’ll be back to visit again when the summer arrives, it’ll be nice to have a picnic in one of the picnic areas rather than in the car!
