Dear Diary – Our week Ocotober 19th
This week has been mainly about hair and a wedding!
I don’t really bother about my hair. It’s long with lots of split ends and it needs colouring but I just tend to tie it back out of the way and only let it back down again when I’m going to bed.
The girls, however, love headbands, hair clips and trying different styles and I have to admit, I’m not that good at doing hair!
We found some videos that had been shared on Facebook and one of the designs was a hair bow with the hair actually made to look like a bow. They made it look super easy but when I tried on Kaycee’s and Ella’s hair it was rubbish.
It wasn’t easy at all and it just wouldn’t work.
I then tried a different style, a braid that’s like a fishtail but is done differently apparently (I have no idea how to do a fishtail so wouldn’t know the difference!) and it still turned out rubbish.
We spent Wednesday night doing the curls (with the tongs Ant bought me when we were getting married nearly 10 years ago!) so we could try different styles and see which they liked best.
After discovering it was going to take hours to do the curls with the tongs we turned to YouTube and decided to do rag curls.
They worked brilliantly ๐
Moving away from hair because quite frankly I’ve had enough of it, I lost 1.5lb at Slimming World on Wednesday ๐
I don’t think the scales are going to be quite so nice next week after the amount of wine and champagne I drank yesterday but if I can stay the same I’ll be happy!
Those curls seemed to stay for ages, I mus admit I prefer rag rollers to tongs any day!
Both the girls hair look really pretty and so beautiful.
I think they look so pretty. Sparkles, ribbons and curls is so my thing.
Their hair looks fab……I cannot wait for Eliza to grow hers so i can do this
Oh wow, beautiful pictures of beautiful girls, must try rag curls with Emma!xx
Rag curls are ace, my mum used to do them for me when I was small and your girls looked beautiful with them
Those curls look amazing, I am so going to try that x
I must say the curls look fantastic!
So cute. You all look lovely. x
Love the curls, I used to do rag rolls in my hair when I was younger!
Oh my world just looks at them cute curse wow so nice hair, just done mine a dark colour .
You all look wonderful at the wedding. The rag curls were very successful. The only time I curled my daughters hair it took forever and they all fell out in a few hours. Never again!
Rags are the best ever and oldest hair method I know, my Granny used to rag my hair, I did for my daughter, she does her own and it looks so good, last for days too. Good going on the weight loss, hope you maintain this week, you never know.
I can't do hair but your girls' hair looks fabulous. Curls fall straight out of my hair and my daughter's!
