101 / 365 – Kitchen makeover, end of day two

Why is it, when decorating a room, the first few days feel like you’re never going to get anywhere. I’ve been on the go since just before ten this morning and it feels like I haven’t even made a dent in the amount of work that needs doing.
I’ve washed, sanded and undercoated 2 shelves, 4 brackets, 4 large pieces of Contiboard, some skirting and part of the door frame. I painted the cupboards and 3 doors, giving them two coats each and I washed the fridge, freezer, washer and dryer.
I painted some of the walls, giving them two coats of emulsion and I’m now doing this post and waiting ’til 9pm so I can varnish the cupboards and doors. They needed four hours for the emulsion to cure before another coat can be done.

It feels like there’s a mountain left to climb and I need to get to the top before the kids come back on Sunday.
Wish me luck!

Today’s 365 photo….loving my cupboard doors; all nice
and clean again 🙂
