Normal service will resume shortly!

Today is the last day we have to empty our old house before handing the keys in tomorrow before 10am. It’s been a bit of a nightmare and we’re really up against the clock today with the amount we still have left to do.

The living room is stacked full of boxes from the loft which were meant to have been moved yesterday but things didn’t go to plan so I’ve had to ask Aiden’s dad to bring his van from Derbyshire, along with my one of my brothers to help empty the rest of the house.

My aunt’s also coming from Derbyshire to help mum and the girls get the house cleaned from top to bottom when it’s empty and while all that’s going on, I have to help Ant break down a small wall that the greenhouse was built onto and remove all the wood from the garden that was used to build the sheds. We don’t have a sledge hammer so I’ve been working away at the mortar between the breeze blocks trying to remove them.
I managed to get one done yesterday; only about another 15 to go. We also have to get the slabs up and dig out the bottom layer of bricks.

I still have loads of unpacking to do when we’ve finally done at the old house but it’s going to have wait for a few days because I need to rest my arm. I think I’ve pinched a nerve which is causing me severe pain in my arm and numbness in my hand and fingers.
I’m not getting much sleep and I’m absolutely shattered.

So all in all, things aren’t great at the moment but I’m sure once the keys have been handed in and that weight has been lifted off my shoulders I’ll start to be able to relax a little!

I’ll be back sometime next week with room updates, including before and after photos and with my catch-up photo challenge post for the last 2 weeks!
