Although I love winter and all it entails, looking through my photos this morning has made me wistful for some summer fun!
We went to Whisby Nature Reserve last year and the girls loved the wooden carvings, the huge sand playing area and water features that are there for kids to explore.
There are lovely wooded walks with big old bridges (that I don't go on because I don't like bridges!) and if you go at the right time of year there are hundreds of acorns to collect.
I've really enjoyed the snow but I think I'm definitely a summer person. Love the photo!

ReplyDeleteI saw the weather earlier and they said we could be getting more snow tomorrow. I think it was the first time I was actually disappointed with that news!
DeleteI opted for a summer picture too this week. I love the snow but it can be a pain in the backside!
ReplyDeleteIt's turning out to be expensive for us as well as annoying; our son usually goes to school on his bike but I didn't want him to risk it with the snow so it's costing £2.20 a day in bus fair. I really will be glad, for the first time ever, when the snow has all gone!
