Photo challenge 23 – Something old

Prompt – Something old
List of prompts I’m working from this month 🙂
I’m hoping I’m not going to upset the super wonderful husband with this photo; the prompt is something old and this teddy was bought for him when he was a baby so it’s as old as he is!
He’s wearing the scarf because his little neck is a bit delicate and the scarf helps him keep his head up!
The girls love him and sometimes get him down to play with but they know they have to be gentle with him 🙂

  1. He's gorgeous. I feel a bit guilty now because my 46 yr old teddy is in the loft…

    • I think if I had one of my own, he'd be in the loft also!

  2. Ant

See that, Little Ted, you're famous, now.

  3. Ah, I've got an old Elephant whose a little bit worse for wear now!

    • We bought Ella an Elephant when she was born; she loves it 🙂

  4. I still have my bear from birth too, hopefully 27 isn't classed as old though! x

    • I can't recall ever having one, I'll have to ask my mum.
27 is definitely not old! 🙂

I've got an old teddy that I've had for 30 years and he doesn't look as well looked after as him

  7. Lovely teddy, looks great next to the old books too.

  8. That is amazing! I so wish I had kept some of my toys from when I was small. Great that you have kept it and he is looking good for his age.

    • There are loads of toys I wish I'd have kept from my childhood as well; I'd love to share them with my children.

    • Kaycee was bought a big yellow duck when she was born and he's her favourite thing in the world. I hope he lasts as long as her daddy's teddy 🙂

    • That's lovely 🙂 I know one of the children (my husband has 9 all together) will carry on looking after him for years to come 🙂

  15. He is a very beautiful bear and clearly has had a lot of love over the years. My bear sits on top of the wardrobe in our bedroom, well out of reach of my very heavy-handed toddler!

    • The girls are quite gentle now but it wasn't always the case and ted had to be put out of the way when they were younger!

  16. that bear is gorgeous, it looks very well loved!

  20. Aww, such a gorgeous bear!! I have a knitted sheep I've had since I was a baby and he's considerably flatter than the bear! 😀

    • His stuffing has done well to last the years; his fur….not so much!

    • I might have to mention it to the girls when the weather warms up. They'd LOVE to have a teddy bears picnic with him!

  21. I love your photo. I still have my teddy bear, he has pride of place on my bed, along with a 'Best Mummy' teddy that Dot bought me.

    • Awww I love things with Best Mummy on! I look forward to Mother's Day because they always buy me something, be it a keyring, fridge magnet etc saying Best Mummy 🙂

  22. That is an absolutely divine teddy bear; well loved! I like the staging of the photograph too!
