Ella, (4) asked me….

what makes people’s houses smell.
I said lots of things can make houses smell.
She said, like different kinds of food that they cook?
I said yes and other things like the kind of cleaners they use, if they have any pets and things like perfume and body sprays can make a house smell.

She thought about it while I was brushing her hair then said, yep, lots of different things, like dragonflies.

It wasn’t a question and I have no idea why!!
